MANAGER TRAINING

CASE STUDY

THE CLIENT

This global distribution company operates an immensely complex service worldwide; with branches stretching into cloud computing, artificial intelligence and live streaming. A hyper-focus on customer satisfaction is a fierce driver of their business, and so an efficient delivery of effective services is a necessity across all areas and fields.

THE CHALLENGE

Training needed to be issued across all Area Managers in the EU. This training needed to cover several online and physical tools that could be used to manage the complex running of large warehouses and distribution centres. A series of training modules needed to be created, using the knowledge of current employees, that were consistent in their look and feel. The taining needed to not only be widely understandable but absorbing enough to grab the attention of busy Area Managers who were learning across languages, cultures and levels of knowledge.

THE Solution

Working with our partners at Netex, we produced 20 modules of content. In order to accurately portray the precise technical details of the content, we arranged review and confirmation calls with SMEs. There were hundreds of virtual and physical tools covered in the content, whose functionalities would often shift, change or even be replaced entirely – so agility and effective check ins with time-poor SMEs were essential. A bank of photographic images were available to the design team, however these could not capture the layouts of Amazon Fulfillment Centers across the EU. A key design accomplishment was the creation of a few key abstract diagrams and graphics that illustrated processes without having to depict the specifics of these processes. These graphics then entered the project-wide repository of successfully approved designs for use of our partners.
