DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION &
CULTURE CHANGE

case study

Technology is changing forever the way that we do our jobs.

Teach on Mars can help leverage that technology to help people adapt to the challenges that the associated cultural change brings, giving people the skills and confidence that they need to adapt to a new world.

THE CLIENT

Teach on Mars was deployed by a major insurance group in the middle of an extensive digital transformation. They had over 100,000 employees worldwide, who they needed to get onboard with the change and adapt quickly to an evolving industry.

THE CHALLENGE

In order to deliver challenging topics such as Big Data and AI, the client needed a solution that was inclusive, non-threatening and engaging. It was also vital that digital culture became embedded in the way that employees went about their daily tasks, and that they were actively engaged in the transformation process.

In addition to this, the solution required simultaneous deployment to tens of thousands of employees across the globe.

THE Solution

The Teach on Mars platform delivered an engaging and intuitive user experience, direct to learners’ mobile devices. This was aimed at meeting the expectations of a user group set by consumer apps such as Netflix and Facebook, and providing them with the learning they needed on demand.

However, in order to deliver real engagement with the content, the company also ran a voluntary ‘interactive enter-trainment’ event through the platform, including a series of competitive challenges.

    RESULTS

The competitive challenges were a real success story, engaging over 27,000 employees and launching over 780,000 individual challenges. Teach on Mars was able to track participation and performance in real time and handle peak loads of up to 40,000 simultaneous challenges.  This engagement also led to the creation of an active social learning community – one of the client’s key culture change objectives.
