Axiom is an award-winning global scientific engagement agency that provides healthcare communications, medical training, and marketing solutions to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

THE CHALLENGE

Part of the soft skills training for medical sales teams is to understand the role of a healthcare practitioner (HCP) and the challenges they face, so that they can build an authentic relationship with them and work with them effectively .

This can be difficult, because they have little access to what really goes on in a doctor’s office.

Axiom approached us to create an immersive learning experience that would help to develop this understanding and increase empathy within the target audience.

THE Solution

We helped medical sales teams to walk in the shoes of HCPs through a VR experience.

We chose a ‘storytelling’ approach to get trainees to experience first-hand sensitive HCP–patient interactions. Set in the familiar environment of a doctor’s surgery, the training allows users to explore patient stories through medical records, patient memories and patient examination.

It combines an intuitive user interface and haptic technology to deepen the level of immersion with the content.
