The M_o_R Practitioner Course prepares participants for the M_o_R Foundation and Practitioner examinations.
The M_o_R course is based upon the OGC publication: Management of Risk guidance for practitioners and provides a best practice approach to the essential elements of risk management.
The course will provide delegates with the principles, processes and techniques used in the M_o_R approach and are covered in extended detail to enable delegates to practice the application both during the course and after within their own organisati
Prerequisites
No prior knowledge is necessary but an understand of Programme/Project management would be an advantage.
Course Objectives
This course will provide delegates with a complete and practical understanding of the Management of Risk Guidance for Practitioners. It will also prepare delegates for both the Foundation and Practitioner Certificate examinations in Management of Risk.
On completion of this Management of Risk Foundation & Practitioner training, delegates will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the M_o_R context including links to corporate governance, business continuity and different Organisational levels
- Explain the M_o_R approach including policy, process, strategies and associated documentation
- Demonstrate the application of an appropriate M_o_R framework at strategic, programme, project and operational perspectives
- Demonstrate an understanding of the purpose of a range of techniques commonly used in managing risk and how they are applied in the process
- Describe the M_o_R process and barriers to its implementation
- Explain the benefits and success factors associated with establishing and embedding risk management into the culture of the Organisation
